CR.NO.253 OF 2017 Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein the High Court will be pleased to modify the condition imposed by this Honourable Court to Sign before the Respondent to some other police station in any district in the above Crl.O.P.24514/2017.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.S.SILAMBU SELVAN, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR. B. RAMESH BABU, Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side) on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that the petitioner has been regularly complying with the condition imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.24514/2017 dated 17.11.2017. He further submitted that investigation is almost over.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is facing life threat as the opposite party also belongs to the village of the petitioner. Therefore, he prays that he may be permitted to sign before some other police station.

3. Considering the submission made by both sides, the condition imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No..24514/2017 dated 17.11.2017 is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall report before the Salem Town Police Station daily at 10.30 a.m., for a period of four weeks and thereafter, he shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation.
