This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Tambaram, to conclude the trial in S.T.C.No.3226 of 2017 as expeditiously as possible.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that case in S.T.C.No.3226 of 2017 is filed under Sections 138 & 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, is pending from 23.12.2022 for arguments. Though, this case has reached the stage of arguments, this case is unnecessarily adjourned and not disposed yet. Therefore, this petition. 3.The perusal of the case information status shows that the case is pending for arguments from 23.12.2022. It was adjourned from 23.12.2022 to the following dates:- 03.02.2023, 14.02.2023, 17.03.2023 and 05.05.2023. 4.This Court does not understand as to why this case has to be adjourned when it is pending for arguments. This Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate - I, Tambaram, to hear both the parties on next hearing and dispose the case in S.T.C.No.3226 of 2017, immediately within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 2/4
