Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 13.03.2023 to grant patta in the name of the petitioner school in respect of the lands situate in Survey no.7/46 7/47 and 680/3 measuring about 270 Sq.m 1670 Sq.m and 1100 Sq.mtr in Ammapettai and padavalkalvai village Anthiyur and Bhavani Taluk respectively Erode District.

ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the first and second respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 13.03.2023 to grant patta in the name of the petitioner school in respect of the lands situate in Survey no.7/46 7/47 and 680/3 measuring about 270 Sq.m 1670 Sq.m and 1100 Sq.mtr in Ammapettai and padavalkalvai Village, Anthiyur and Bhavani Taluk respectively Erode District.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that even though the school is functioning 2/5

for the past 86 years in the lands owned by the school, patta has not been issued in the name of the petitioner school. Hence, the petitioner gave representation to the first and second respondents on 13.03.2023. But the same has not been considered till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 13.03.2023 for issuance of patta to the petitioner on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
