ORDER
The petitioner was a student of Government Arts College for Men, Nandanam, Chennai. While pursuing his II year B.A (Economics), the petitioner got involved in a group clash with other College students resulting in arrest and remand to prison on 30.03.2019 in respect of Crime No.261/2019 on the file of T.16 Nasarathpet Police Station. Therefore, the petitioner along with three other students, were not allowed to write their Semester Examinations slotted to be held during April 2019. 2.The petitioner and other students who were denied permission to write their examinations, approached this Court,
by filing Writ Petition Nos.11192, 11198, 11202 and 11205 of 2019. This Court, as interim direction, passed the following order on 15.04.2019:- "It is stated by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent - College that the Disciplinary Committee of this College has already been constituted, which would decide about the furture course of action with respect to the students, who were suspended.
The learned Special Government Pleader is directed to file a report in this regard, on or before 23.04.2019.
The petitioners are directed to give a representation to the College today itself, requesting them to revoke suspension and permit the petitioners for examination. Post on 23.04.2019."
3.For other writ petitioners, except the present writ petitioner, who were pursuing their final year course, this Court on 24.04.2019, has passed the following final order on 24.04.2019:- "5. As the petitioners/students are studying in the final year, this Court is of the opinion that they may be given a chance of writing the examinations. It is stated that the petitioners can appear only for those examinations for which, the dates are fixed in May, 2019. The other examinations are over. The petitioners/students are willing to write those examinations."
4.In respect of the petitioner herein, who is pursuing his II year B.A Economics, the College has taken decision that the criminal activity which is subject matter of Crime No.261/2019 for offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 324, 506(ii) I.P.C., deserves removal from rolls.
5.It appears from the records that, the petitioner has given representation to the Principal of the respondent College to reconsider and revoke the order of removal from rolls.
6.As of today, the prayer sought in the writ petition has become infructuous. The order of this Court in the other writ petitions filed by the final year students has no relevancy to this petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
