A.No.3878 of 2022 in O.P.No.871 of 2018 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J This application is presented by the claimant before the arbitral Tribunal seeking extension of time for conclusion of proceedings.

2. The applicant states that the arbitral proceedings were impacted on account of the lock down in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is stated that the proceedings are at the stage of final arguments but that the final arguments may be conducted over multiple sittings.

3. The respondent is represented by counsel and has no objection to this application being allowed.

4. By taking into consideration the nature of the dispute and the stage of proceedings, this application is allowed and the time for conclusion of proceedings by pronouncement of award in respect thereof is extended by a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
