ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction of this Court to register the complaint dated 10.10.2017, lodged by the petitioner against some of the officials of TANGEDCO, Public Works Department. The complaint has been addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-corruption Division, Tiurppur.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has reported to this Court that on receipt of the complaint from one P.P.Premkumar, the petitioner herein, after perusing the allegations made in the petition, the Additional Superintendent of Police, Special Investigation Cell, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, has forwarded the complaint to the Additional Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and Security, Vigilance Cell, TNEB, for necessary action. The said communication was also placed before this Court by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 3.From the letter of the Director, DVAC, Chennai dated 02.11.2016, this Court finds that, though the allegation in the complaint dated 10.10.2017 is of general in nature and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

does not disclose any specific information of cognizable offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act, since the allegation is leveled against the officials of TANGEDCO, Public Works Department, the matter has to be enquired by the department and accordingly forwarded to the concerned officials.

4.In view of the above action taken by the respondent, no further direction is required in this petition. However, the officials of TANGEDCO, Public Works Department, shall take up the petition and make appropriate enquiry and act in accordance with law.

5.Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
