The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respondent died on 10.10.2018. Initially, the complaint was given to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Karaikal. Thereafter, the complaint has been transferred to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karaikal. The learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Karaikal had taken the cognizance of the complaint and assigned C.C.No.16 of 2014 and issued summons to the petitioners under Sections 340 of Cr.P.C r/w 195 IPC, against which the present quash petition.

2.The learned counsel for the respondent submitted that at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioners, he came to know about the death of the respondent. Hence, he seeks time to bring the legal heirs of the respondent.

3.Post the matter on 06.10.2020.
