ORDER

Suo Motu contempt petition has been instituted to punish the respondent for her disobedience of the order of this Court, to appear before this Court.

2. The respondent in the contempt proceeding is the third respondent in the writ proceedings and the writ was filed challenging the order passed by the competent authority and the appellate authority under the Senior Citizen Act, 2007.

3. The respondent is the daughter of the senior citizen, who instituted the proceeding under the Senior Citizen Act, 2007 . If at all, the respondent is not interested in pursuing the writ proceedings, the writ petition can be decided on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Since notice has already been served on the third respondent in the writ proceedings and the respondents 1 and 2 are official respondents represented by the Government Pleader, the writ petition itself is directed to be listed for hearing on 25th April, 2024. The respondents 4 and 5 who have been impleaded in the writ proceedings have also received notice and entered appearance.

5. That being the factum, Suo Motu Contempt Petition No.1060 of 2024 is closed and registry is directed to list the Writ Petition No.29929 of 2023, for hearing, on 25.04.2024.
