O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to give police protection to the vehicles owned by the association while they carry out the hulling operation in Thiruvarur District by their lorries, pursuant to the representation dated 12.04.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur District to consider the representation of the petitioner and afford protection thereafter.

4. Recording his submission, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvarur and give a fresh representation letting out his grievance and on such representation being given, the same shall be enquired into and action taken in accordance with law expeditiously.

With the above direction, this petition is disposed of. No costs.
