Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to implement the order of the District Revenue Officer, Chennai dated 12.02.2014 and to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner's name without delay in respect of the property which is situated at Block No.44, Chennai - 600 024, Puliyur Village, Egmore Talukm Survey Nos.113/10, 113/5 and 13/9, Paimas No.995 and 996.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to implement the order passed by DRO, Chennai dated 12.02.2014 and to issue patta in favour of the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the DRO, Chennai has already passed a detailed order on 12.02.2014 and had given certain directions to the Tahsildar to carry out necessary changes in the records and to issue patta based on the document submitted by the petitioner after ascertaining the ownership. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though this order was passed in the year 2014, till date the respondent has not acted upon the same inspite of the representation made to the respondent. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

3. Heard Mr.C.V.Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathi, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and limited relief that has been sought for in the present writ petition, there shall be a direction to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 19.06.2019 and 12.02.2020 and deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and in line with the order passed by the DRO, Chennai dated 12.02.2014 and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of the proceeding of the DRO, Chennai dated 12.02.2014 and also all the other relevant documents and a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
