PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent police to provide adequate police protection to measure the Survey No.349/6 of the petitioner's property by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2025.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondent to provide police protection to survey the petitioner's property comprised in Survey No.349/6 situated at Thammampatti Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner owned property comprised in Survey No.349/6 to an extent of 1 acre 81 cents situated at Thammampatti Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District. The petitioner decided to do agriculture in the said land, however the respondents 3 to 5 obstructed the survey of the petitioner's property. The petitioner also filed a writ petition in W.P.No.4344 of 2025 seeking mandamus to measure the property and the same was disposed of by this Court vide order dated 13.02.2025. Thereafter, the petitioner approached the Revenue Officials to measure the property. While

the surveyor proceeded to survey the petitioner's land, the respondents 3 to 5 obstructed the same.

4. In view of the above, if the surveyor finds any hindrance while surveying the petitioner's property, the surveyor can very well seek police protection from the second respondent. On such request, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and pass orders to provide police protection to survey the petitioner's property, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
