Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 09.01.2017 and 21.07.2017 in accordance with the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Cinema Regulation Act and the Rules made thereunder and by affording an opportunity to the petitioners herein.

O R D E R

The petitioners seek for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider their application dated 09.01.2017 and 21.07.2017, wherein and whereby they sought for renewal of transfer of C-Form license.

2.Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the third parties have objected to the transfer of C-form license and therefore, these applications are kept pending.

3.Needless to say that if applications are filed, it is for the respondent to consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned including the objectors. Without passing any order, the applications cannot be kept pending for a long time, since only when an order is passed, the affected party will challenge https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the same before the appropriate forum in a manner known to law. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider those applications and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioners and objectors and other interested persons, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
