J U D G M E N T
The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is filed by the petitioner/appellant to enhance the compensation of Rs.4,74,307/- awarded by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal/1st Additional District & Sessions Judge, Cuddalore, in M.C.O.P.No.3566 of 2018 dated 23.12.2021, against his claim of Rs.15,00,000/-.
2. In the course of hearing, the appellant and the second respondent have arrived at a negotiated settlement for a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- along with 7.5% interest. A joint memo of compromise, dated 04.01.2022, signed by both the parties and their counsels, is presented before the Court today. The said memo of compromise is taken on file and the terms thereof are hereby recorded.
3. Accordingly, this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is partly - allowed to the extent indicated above. The Memo of Compromise shall form part of the decree. No costs.
