The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent-police to file final report in Crime No.9 of 2015 on the file of the respondentpolice.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police against one one Ponnusamy, Kanagam and Ravikumar for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 420, 406 and 506(ii) IPC and the same was registered in Crime No.9 of 2015 on 12.10.2015. But, till date no action was taken by the respondent-police. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that during the course of investigation, the respondent-police has to collect lot of documents relating to the case in Crime No.9 of 2015 and hence, he opposed to grant specific time limit for completion of investigation.

4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the respondent-police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.9 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.
