This application is filed by the plaintiff to permit the plaintiff to amend the long and short cause titles in the plaint and in the proof affidavit filed by the plaintiff by mentioning the name of the plaintiff as PURAVANKARA LIMITED instead of PURAVANKARA PROJECTS LIMITED in the above suit.

2. The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that even according to the applicant, the name of the applicant was changed way back in the year 2015 i.e. on the same year when the suit was filed. But the applicant had not taken any steps to amend till the completion of pleadings and commencing of trial. Now, when the matter is coming for Case Management Schedule, in order to protract, he has come forward with this application.

3. Heard both sides and perused the affidavit filed in support of the application.

4. The reason stated in the accompanying affidavit is not satisfied. However, in order to give an opportunity, this application is allowed on payment of cost of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only).

5. The applicant is directed to pay the said cost of Rs.1,00,000/- to the 1/3

respondents (Rs.50,000/- each to the respondents) on or before 06.06.2024. List the matter on 07.06.2024 "for reporting compliance". 16.04.2022 ksa-2 2/3
