ORDER

This petition has been filed for seeking direction to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner based on the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2020.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner fell in love with one Karmegam, but she was married one Santhosh Kumar on compulsion of her parents. However, she does not want to live with the said person and as such she started living with her parents. Thereafter, on the compulsion and also threatening made by her parents, she went out and staying separately. She does not want to show her address to the family members. sought for police protection from her own parents. 3.Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that on the complaint lodged by the parents of the petitioner herein, a case was registered in Crime No.212 of 2019 for girl missing and therefore, the petitioner needs to appear before the 2nd respondent and he has to show her appearance. 4.Considering the above facts and circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear before the 2nd respondent and thereafter the 2nd respondent is directed to take appropriate action on the complaint lodged by the petitioner after conducting enquiry within the period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If the 2nd respondent finds any threatening from the parents of the petitioner, the 2nd respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner.

3.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
