ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 3 rd respondent to register the Release Deed dated 04.02.2025, executed by two sisters in favour of the petitioner.

2.Heard Mr.S.Sairaman, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.U.Baranidharan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The Release Deed was refused to be registered on the ground that the original title document was not presented before the 3 rd respondent. In the

3/5 affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it has been specifically stated that the original title document has been lost and it is not able to be traced. It has been further stated that the certified copy of the document is available. 4.In the considered view of this Court, if the original title document is lost, a recital shall be added in the Release Deed itself to the effect that the original title document has been lost and the same is not able to be traced. If the same is done, the Release Deed shall be entertained and registered, if it is otherwise in order.

5.In the result, this writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. No Costs.
