Palanisamy ..Respondent(s) Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus dsirecting the respondents 2 and 3 to conduct survey and measure of the land in S.No.367 of Padhuvampalli Village, Sulur Taluk and to include the 1.41 acres wrongly assigned in the Revenue Records and issue joint patta in favour of the petitioner along with 12 others for 1.54 acres based on the representation dated 10.01.2025 sent by the petitioner. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2025.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 10.01.2025 to conduct survey and measure of the land in S.No.367 of Padhuvampalli Village, Sulur Taluk and to include the 1.41 acres wrongly assigned in the Revenue Records and issue joint patta in favour of the petitioner along with 12 others for 1.54 acres. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Mr.S.Sidhartha Vishnu, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2025 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the official respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.01.2025 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner as well as respondents 4 to 7 and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the possession of the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
