This Criminal Original Petition has been filed praying to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.388 of 2014 on the file of Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram (Fast Track Mahila Court) at Villupuram.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. When this Court was about to dismiss this petition on merits, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission to withdraw this petition and has made an endorsement to that effect. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has brought to the notice of this Court that, the prosecution has moved a petition before the Trial Court, for permission to do DNA profiling of the petitioner and the child of the victim, in order to ascertain its paternity. The Trial Court is directed to expeditiously pass orders in accordance with law on the said petition.
