ORDER
By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government
Pleader [Edn] accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. The petitioner joined the services of the 4th respondent / College as a Lab Assistant on 08.09.1976 and retired from service on 31.01.2014 and prior to that, he was promoted as Junior Assistant on 10.08.2007 and it was also approved by the 2nd respondent vide proceedings dated 13.10.2009. The petitioner also exercised his option for fixation of pay in the post of Junior Assistant through the 4th respondent / College. According to the petitioner, his retiral/terminal benefits have been wrongly calculated by the respondents and the option exercised by him in the form of Letter dated 25.06.2012 has not been entered in the Service Register by the respondents 2 to 4 and in this regard, he has also submitted representations dated 02.09.2014 and 06.01.
2015 respectively to the 4th respondent to rectify the same and since the mistakes have not been rectified, the petitioner submitted yet another representation dated 02.09.2015 to the 4th respondent and since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anandamoorthy, learned Additional Government Pleader [Edn] appearing for the respondents.
Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 4th respondent to initiate appropriate proposal based on the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2015, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and submit the same to the 2nd respondent, who on receipt of the same, is directed to consider the said proposal on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a further period of six weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
