Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta for the petitioner's house property comprised in Survey No. 355, Mathigiri Village, Hosur Taluk, the land to an extent of 3 cents bearing Door No. 63/C, Karnoor Village, Mathigiri PO Hosur 635 110, Krishnagiri District within the time stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner made a representation on 30.12.2015 to the respondents, followed by another representation on 04.01.2016 to the 1st respondent, seeking issuance of patta, for the petitioner's house property, comprised in Survey No. 355, Mathigiri Village, Hosur Taluk, the land to an extent of 3 cents bearing Door No. 63/C, Karnoor Village, Mathigiri PO, Hosur 635 110, Krishnagiri District, based on prolonged possession. As the said representations are still pending consideration, the present writ petition has been filed.

Though a larger relief is sought, when the writ petition is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that suffice if a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the aforesaid representations of the petitioner within a stipulated time.

In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representations of the petitioner dated 30.12.2015 and 04.01.2016, with regard to issue of patta, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
