The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 23rd February, 2017, in relation to the belated settlement of terminal benefits and claim of interest in that regard.
2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner was an employee of the respondent Corporation and after serving for about 31 years, retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation dated 30th April, 2014. However, there is a delay in settlement by the respondent Corporation. The learned counsel made a submission that the writ petitioner is entitled for interest on the belated settlements of terminal benefits and in this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondent on 23.03.2017 and the same is yet to be considered. 3.
Thus, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 23rd February, 2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
