ORDER

Heard Mr.J.Bharathi Raja, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.As against the order passed by the Tahsildar, rejecting the petitioner's Application seeking for patta, Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book provides for an Appeal to the Revenue Divisional Officer.

3.The grounds raised by the petitioner challenging the order of Tahsildar may not be an explanation in availing the statutory remedy. 4.In this background, this Court is of the view that if the petitioner is granted liberty to prefer an Appeal, within a prescribed time, the ends of justice could be secured.

5.The writ petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to prefer an Appeal before the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer, 2/4

within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
