Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation dated 23.09.2016 and to rectify the revenue records maintained by the respondents with regard to the petitioner's property comprised in S.No.181 admeasuring Acre 3.50 cents and S.No.182/2 admeasuring Acre 5.32 cents both totally admeasuring to Acre 8.82 Cents situated at Sri Aathivaraganallur Village, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District and to issue Sub-Division Patta in favour of the petitioner.

The petitioner would submit that he acquired his ancestral agricultural lands bearing Patta No.174 situated at Sri Aathivaraganallur Village, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District comprised in S.No.181 admeasuring Acre 3.50 cents and S.No.182/2 admeasuring Acre 5.32 cents from his paternal grandmother through a settlement deed registered on the file of Thirumuttam Sub-Registrar Office, Virudhachalam District vide https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Document No.1200 of 2005. Whileso, the petitioner had applied for Encumbrance Certificate for the period from 01.01.1987 to 21.08.2016 and subsequently made an application dated 22.08.2016 to the first respondent, to issue Sub-Division patta in his favour. According to the petitioner, when the petitioner verified the "A" register details through e-services, the above said property has been wrongly recorded/transferred and embeded in Patta bearing No.1403 in the name of 'The Instruct Captin Power'. Aggrieved against this, the petitioner has sent a representation dated 23.09.2016, to the first respondent seeking rectification of revenue records and to issue Sub-Division Patta in his favour.

Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Daisy John, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents.

The learned Government Advocate brought to the notice of this Court, that the disputed land has been acquired by the "Tamil Nadu Industrial Captive Power Company". He had also produced the notification dated 28.01.2003 in Na.Ka.No.A/176/97. Since the petitioner required details of the same, a copy of the notification has been handed over to the petitioner. 5.

In the light of the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
