By consent, the writ petition is take up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the land measuring an extent of 8.5 cents bearing Survey No.300/1A2 in Old No.79, New No.93, Palandandalam Village within the Sub-Registration District of Padappai. The petitioner further claims to be in possession and enjoyment of the same ever since the date of settlement made by his grandmother. The petitioner approached the third respondent for mutation in the revenue records and there he came to know that LRs of the adjacent land owners have sold their lands in Survey No.300/1A1 to various people and the names of the purchasers of the adjacent lands have been erroneously included in the patta in respect of Survey No.300/1A2. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 07.03.2007 to the jurisdictional Revenue Divisional Officer, who in turn by proceedings dated 12.03.
2007 in O.Mu.783/2007/A2 has directed the third respondent to enquire into the matter. The petitioner has also appeared in person before the enquiry and thereafter nothing had happened. Hence the petitioner sent a representation dated 03.06.2015 to the respondents and in spite of receipt of the same, no order has been passed. Therefore, the petitioner is constrained to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Vanaraj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents.
4. This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer made in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 03.06.2015, in accordance with law after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
