The petitioner claims that she belongs to Hindu-Scheduled Tribe, Konda Reddy Community and was selected as Clerk-cumTypist in Adiyaman Grama Bank, [now renamed as Pallavan Grama Bank] vide proceedings of the Banking Services Recruitment Board on 08.03.1990 and got her promotion as an Office Assistant [Multi-Purpose] in the services of the respondent / Bank. Subsequently, she was sent a Call Letter for interview for promotion from Office Assistant [Multi-Purpose] to Officer, Grade-I and the petitioner has also attended the interview on 30.11.2016 and performed extremely well. However, to the shock and surprise of the petitioner, the list with regard to the promotion from the Office Assistant [Multi Purpose] to Officer, Grade-I, has been published by the respondent / Bank on 01.12.2016 and her name does not find place in the said list.
The petitioner, in this regard has submitted a representation dated 02.01.2017 to the respondent through proper channel stating that she is eligible in all respect for promotion and however, her name has not been included in the promotion list and therefore, requested for publication of the result of her interview and give promotion at the earliest and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that admittedly the petitioner belongs to Hindu-Scheduled Tribe [Konda Reddy Community] and by virtue of her better performance, she ought to have been promoted to the post of Officer, Grade-I, under Fast Track Channel and since her name does not find place in the select list, she has also submitted a representation to the respondent through proper channel and since no response is forthcoming, she is constrained to approach this Court by filing the present writ petition.
4 Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent / Bank to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.01.2017 submitted by the petitioner through proper channel and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
