Respondent Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2014 and consequently direct the respondent to measure the petitioner's land bearing S.No.531/3, Thirumulavoyal Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thiruvallur District admeasuring about 2257 sq.ft. bearing Old No.58 New No.16, Jonsi Rani Street, Thirumulavoyal and issue patta to his property.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner and his wife purchased a land measuring an extent of 2257 sq.ft. by means of a registered sale deed vide document No.2565 of 2012, registered on the file of the SubRegistrar, Ambattur in S.No.531/3 Thirumulavoyal Village, Ambattur Taluk, Thiruvallur District. Thereafter the petitioner submitted an application dated 10.11.2014 to measure the property and to issue patta. The petitioner has also paid the prescribed fees. The petitioner would further submit that the jurisdictional Village Administrative Officer asked him to appear for enquiry before the Land Surveyor and accordingly he also appeared. But his land has not been measured so far. In this regard he approached the respondent very many times but no order is forthcoming, hence he has came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Subramani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent.

4. This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer made in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application / representation for patta dated 10.11.2014, in accordance with law after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
