[Order of this Court was made by DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN,J] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the 2nd respondent police to produce the detenue aged about 16 years who is the daughter of the petitioner and handover to the petitioner.

2. This petition is filed by the mother of the detenue alleging that her 16 years old daughter was missing since 03.05.2021 and she apprehends that her minor daughter might have https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been kidnapped by one Vinoth to take revenge.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents reports that the girl was traced along with one Vinoth and the girl has been handed over to the Children Welfare Committee, Ariyalur on 24.05.2021. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further reports that the custody of the minor daughter has been handed over to the petitioner and also a criminal case has been registered against the accused Vinoth. The petitioner and her minor daughter appeared through Video Conferencing from the Children Welfare Committee Office at Ariyalur.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.

5. The Children Welfare Committee, Ariyalur is directed to monitor the movement of the minor girl and to give adequate counseling to her.
