Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents, particularly the third respondent to issue Patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.386 [as per sub-division Survey No.386/1A] situated i Kangeyanallur Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District by considering 1/5

the report submitted by the Revenue Inspector of Katpaid Taluk bearing Aathimu/155/2023 dated 21.03.2023 within a specified time limit that may be specified by this court.

ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed to direct the third respondent to issue Patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.386 situated in Kangeyanallur Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District by considering the report submitted by the Revenue Inspector of Katpaid Taluk bearing Aathimu/155/2023 dated 21.03.2023 within the time limit specified by this court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on 2/5

record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that her husband purchased the subject property in the year 1974 and since then they are in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the Revenue Inspector has recommended for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner, patta has not been given in her name. In this regard she has given a representation to the third respondent and no action has been taken in this regard. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought in this Writ Petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.11.2023 and pass Orders on the same as per law, after giving opportunity to the persons who claim right over the property within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 22.04.2024 vrc Index :Yes/No Internet :Yes/No : Yes/No To,
