Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent in C3/D.O.No.06/2020 dated 24.01.2020 against the detenu, the petitioner's husband namely Adamani @ Manikandan, Son of Gopikrishnan, aged about 41 years, who is now confined in Central Prison, Vellore and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in C3/D.O.No.06/2020 dated 24.01.2020, detaining her husband as "Sexual Offender" under Section 2(ggg) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that this petition has become infructuous as the period of detention has already been over.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed as infructuous.
