Respondent Prayer :- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to pass order in the appeal petition dated 28.04.2017 within a stipulated time frame after considering the written submissions made in the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2020 and 09.07.2020 and to pass orders within a time fram as fixed by this Court. ORDER

(1)This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondent to pass orders on the Appeal Petition filed by the petitioner Sangam on 28.04.2017 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

(2)The petitioner Sangam was the owner of a property measuring 5379 sq.ft., in TS.No.26/1 at Tiruvarur Town. According to the petitioner Sangam, the name of the 'Madam' is found in the Survey Record since the year 1892. This property is said to be under the control of the Sangam. patta was also granted in favour of those individuals. When this was brought to the notice of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tiruvarur, patta was also cancelled. The grievance of the petitioner Sangam is that the name of the Sangam was not incorporated in the Revenue Record and therefore, the petitioner Sangam filed an Appeal Petition on 28.04.2017. (3)The further case of the petitioner is that an enquiry was conducted by the Special Tahsildar and a Report was also submitted on 22.10.2019 in favour of the petitioner Sangam. The petitioner Sangam has also sent several representations to the respondent to pass final orders on the Appeal petition made by the petitioner Sangam on 28.04.2017. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate direction. (4)Heard Mr.D.R.Arun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.E.Balamurugan, learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondent.

(5)Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to pass final orders strictly in accordance with law in the Appeal petition filed by the petitioner Sangam on 28.04.2017 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with a copy of the Appeal petition dated 28.04.2017 and a copy of this order.

(6)With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
