ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 27.04.2021 sent to the third Respondents requesting legal heirs of the allottee C.Janaki having been so the allotment name transfer request was given to the Petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board Scheme.

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Heard the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. A perusal of the representation submitted by the petitioner revealed that the petitioner is one of the legal heirs of the deceased Janaki. According to the petitioner, his mother was allotted a house plot and on her demise, the name of the legal heirs are to be included in the allotment order. But the petitioner did not even state the allotment of the

house plot in favour of his mother. Without even allotting any house plot in favour of his mother, the request made by the petitioner as legal heir of the deceased mother for transfer of name cannot be considered.

4. Therefore, the direction sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. 27.06.2024 Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non Speaking order mn
