The petitioner filed an appeal on 02.02.2013 before the respondent no.1 seeking to cancel the patta, which has been wrongly issued by sub-dividing the lands and thereafter, to survey and measure the lands in Survey Nos.710-1 situated in Kiliyur Village, Valangaiman Taluk, Thiruvarur. The District Collector vide proceedings dated 12.02.2013 has directed the Revenue Divisional Officer to take appropriate steps on the appeal filed by the petitioner. As no action is forthcoming, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
