ORDER
The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Certiorarified Mandamus seeking records relating to an order of the first respondent in G.O(2D).No.80 dated 01.10.2024 and quash the same and direct the first respondent to revoke the order of suspension against the petitioner and permit the petitioner to join duty. The petitioner had given a representation in this regard on 09.01.2025 in accordance with G.O.(Ms).No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022.

In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been contended that the petitioner was serving as Deputy Inspector of General (Registration) at Salem from 14.03.2024 till 25.09.2024 on which date, the petitioner had been remanded to custody, consequent to registration of an FIR in Crime No.2 of 2022 registered by CBCID police, pursuant to an order passed in a writ petition filed by one Kalaivani relating to a property at Perungalathur Village.
3. Let me not enter into a detailed discussion on the facts of the case, since the petitioner had given a detailed representation running to 20 pages on
09.01.2025 giving reasons as to why the suspension order should be revoked.
4. The learned Government Advocate who has taken notice for the respondents stated that the respondents would apply their mind and examine the representation given. It had been stated that on consideration of the representation, appropriate further orders would be passed. The petitioner may be granted an opportunity of personal hearing if either the petitioner requests the same in a further representation or if the respondents feel that to examine the representation, the views of the petitioner are required.
5. A direction is given that the representation should be disposed of within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In view of this order passed, the Certiorari sought by the petitioner to call for the records relating to G.O.(2D) No.80 dated 01.10.2024 is not addressed by this Court.
6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
