This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 3rd respondent to release the land measuring to an extent of 50+50 cents (1 acre) 4490 sq.meters in Survey No.253 of Thirumudivakkam Village from the Tamil Nadu Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978 and Repeal Act 20 of 1999, based on the orders of the Hon`ble High Court in W.P. No.40239 of 2006 and also for a direction to the 4th respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner, by disposing of the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that despite the order of this 2/4

Court dated 19.10.2012 passed in W.P.No.40239 of 2006, quashing the acquisition proceedings in respect of the petitioner's land in S.No.253, Thirumudivakkam Village, patta was not issued to the petitioner. In this regard, he submitted a representation dated 22.02.2023 to the respondents. Since no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. Considering the limited relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 26.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No 3/4
