J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.K. SASIDHARAN,J.) The petitioner initiated the contempt proceedings alleging non-compliance of the order dated 23 March, 2017 in W.P. No. 10233 of 2007.

When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader produced a copy of the Government Order in G.O.(D) No. 427 Home (Police VI) Department dated 29 April, 2019 granting the benefits to the petitioner.

The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the entire monetary benefits would be paid to the petitioner on or before 15 May, 2019. The said undertaking is taken on record.

In view of the subsequent events, as indicated above, the contempt petition is closed.
