ORDER
(Order of the court was made by R. MAHADEVAN, J.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to permit the petitioner to enroll as an Advocate in the Bar Council of Tamil 1/4
Nadu and Puducherry, Chennai, by considering his application No. PR/2023/21713 dated 25.10.2023.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that after completion of his law degree, he submitted an application seeking enrollment as an Advocate, before the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, enclosing all the requisite documents on 25.10.2023. In the said application, in column No.13, the petitioner has furnished the details of cases registered in Kodavasal P.S. Cr.Nos.233 of 2022, 88 of 2022 and 21 of 2023, which are pending against him. Since the said application was pending without any consideration for a quite long time, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief.
3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent, submitted that the respondent will consider the petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame to be stipulated by this court.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's 2/4
application No.PR/2023/21713 dated 25.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
