Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.12.2015.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the land in S.No.24, Avayaappalli, Kalkurichi- Vellalapatti Village, to an extent of 1.50 acres originally owned by his ancestors and thereafter, the petitioner has been in cultivation of the lands. Since, the patta was not issued in the name of the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for several years, he sent a representation to the respondents on 17.12.2015. But, no favourable order was passed till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Heard Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, directs the third respondent to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 17.12.2015, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
