O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2023, for issuance of degree certificate to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner studied B.E., (Computer Science Engineering) at C.S.I. College of Engineering, Ketti, Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu, in the academic years 1998-2002. The petitioner had arrears and cleared all the arrears in October 2003, and completed the Engineering course. The said C.S.I. College of Engineering, Ketti, Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu was affiliated to the respondent Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The petitioner's registration number in the university records was 9827K0569. The petitioner obtained consolidated mark sheet and transfer certificate. However, he was unable to receive degree certificate. The petitioner approached the University for the degree certificate as he needed the same for his employment purpose, but the university sought time to issue the degree certificate. Meanwhile, an agent of the University, arranged for degree certificate from University. In 2021, the degree certificate issued by the respondent University, was misplaced and the petitioner filed an application for issuance of duplicate degree 2/5
certificate agreeing to pay the necessary charges. However, the University informed the petitioner that the original degree certificate was not issued to him and so he was advised to file a police complaint against the alleged agent and thereafter to approach for the degree certificate. A complaint to the police was given and a representation was submitted to the respondents. As no action was taken on the said representation, the petitioner filed the present writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

In view of the limited relief sought for in the Writ Petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that appropriate directions may be issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2023, on merits and pass orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.07.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 3/5
