This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property based on the application submitted by the petitioner on 04.03.2025.

2. Heard Mr.R.Abdul Mubeen, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondent.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and subject to the condition that quashing of the acquisition proceedings has become final in W.P.No.8530 of 1986 dated 04.10.1986, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the application filed by the petitioner on 04.03.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law and appropriate orders shall be passed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No 2/4

costs.
