By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.It is the claim of the petitioners that the properties in S.Nos.499, 500 and 602 in Mookandapalli Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District belong to their grandfather and he and his son who is the father of the petitioners have jointly mortgaged the properties in favour of one Nyatha Reddy by means of registered document bearing number 870 of 1931 dated 28.04.1931 and after the demise of their father, the property is redeemed and the petitioners are claimed to be in possession and enjoyment of the same. The Petitioners would state that a mistake had crept in, in the UDR and S.No.499 alone is classified as 'Anadhinam' and petitioners in this regard filed an appeal dated 23.04.2015 to the respondent and since it has not been numbered, came forward to file this writ petition. 3.Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that it would be suffice to direct the respondent to number the appeal and to give a disposal to the appeal within a stipulated time.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Jayaprakash, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.Rm.Muthukumar, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 5.This Court without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioners, directs the respondent to number the appeal if it is permissible in law and the papers are otherwise in order and give a disposal in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners.
