Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent herein to levy property tax in the name of the petitioner for the newly constructed building at No.257, Mettupalayam Road, Opp.Saibaba Koil comprised in New T.S.No.4/5, Block No.1, Sanganur Village, Coimbatore-641 043 on the basis of application and requisition submitted by the petitioner.

ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Mohan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Sivakumar, Learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction upon the respondent Corporation to consider their application and assess the newly constructed building in the name of the petitioner and levy property tax.

3. Since this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, the merits of the claim made by the petitioner are not gone into and left open to be considered by the Competent Authority. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Thus, considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the Competent Authority of the respondent Corporation to consider the petitioner's application/representation and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
