This Criminal Original petition has been filed seeking modification of the condition directing the petitioners to appear before the respondent Police daily at 10.00 a.m and 5.00 p.m for a period of 60 days. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that there is a First Information Report pending against the petitioners for the offence under Section 483 BNSS r/w 37 of NDPS Act; that the petitioners are facing threat from their rivals; that they could not comply with the condition; and that they would appear before the trial court regularly. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) would submit that the petitioners had complied with the conditions only for two days; that they are required to appear before the respondent Police for the purpose of investigation; and that a cancellation petition has been filed by the respondent since the petitioners had not complied the condition. 4.Since, the petitioners had not complied with the condition, this Court is not inclined to set aside the condition. However, this Court is inclined to modify the condition imposed in C.M.P.No.1876 of 2024 and accordingly the petitioners are directed to appear before the respondent Police daily at 10.00 a.m and 5.00 p.m except Saturday and Sunday for a period of three weeks and thereafter appear before the trial Court daily until further orders" on payment of cost of Rs.5000/- to the District Legal Services Authority, Chennai.
