O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is appearing before us as party in person, seeking direction not only to consider his representation dated 08.07.2016, but also further direction to put in place traffic police officers permanently in the required places.
2. In the counter-affidavit filed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Triplicane Sub-Division, Chennai-600 006, it has been stated as follows:
"6.It is submitted that in Inc House Dr.Besant Road at Royapettah, Mirshahipet Market Junction and Royapettah Peters Road necessary Traffic Police have been put in place permanently and now they are regulating the traffic without any hindrance.
7.It is submitted that the obstructions made in the Peters road, Amir Mahal road, Bycrofts road have been evicted and fine amount have been imposed on the encroachers. It is submitted that now there is no hindrance for free flow of traffic. It is submitted that parking boards have been provided to facilitate the general public to park their vehicles without any hindrance to free flow of traffic. It is further submitted that centre medians have been provided near Rathna Cafe junction. It is submitted that an amount of Rs.2,24,800/- has been levied for No parking and obstructions in Amir Mahal road, from 01.01.2017 to till date."
3. Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Government Pleader (i/c) would submit that the aforesaid paragraphs are being complied strictly.
4. The petitioner appearing in person submits that the said statement is not correct.
5. We do not wish to go into the controversy. Suffice it to say that the respondent shall comply in letter and spirit the statement made in paragraph 6 and 7 of the counter-affidavit. We also take note of the duty particulars annexed along with the counter-affidavit as well as the photographs.
