O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthuraipoondi to expedite the trial in C.C.No.129 of 2016 within the stipulated period most preferably within a period of three months that may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a family dispute between the petitioner and the defacto complainant i.e., his brother one Nagarajan working as an practicing Advocate in Thiruthuraipoondi. Hence, the respondent lodged a complaint as against the petitioner. The respondent police registered a case in Crime No. 517 of 2015 under Section 147, 148, 294(b), 506(ii) of IPC and filed charge sheet in C.C.No.129 of 2016 before the Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthuraipoondi on 02.11.2015 and the same is pending for a long time. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. Heard both sides.

4.It is seen that the incident happened in the year 2015 and charge sheet was filed in 2015 and the trial has not been commenced till date. As such, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thiruthuraipoondi to conduct the trial and complete the proceedings in C.C.No.129 of 2016 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
