ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the 3rd respondent in Rc.No.168187/Rect.II(1)/2016 dated 19.07.2018 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents 1 to 5 to follow the seniority list issued by the 3rd respondent in proceedings no.16350/Rect.II(1)/2015, dated 22.06.2017 followed by ''A'' List (Seniority List) on 15.03.2007, in accordance with law. 2.The case of the petitioner is that she was initially appointed as SubInspector of Police (Women) in the year 2004 and later, her probation was also declared and she is entitled for promotion as Inspector of Police by virtue of the seniority list issued by the third respondent vide No.16350/Rect.II(1)/2015, dated 22.06.2017 followed by order of ''A'' list of all Sub-Inspectors of Police (Women) of 2004 batch. However, the third 3/6
respondent issued impugned proceedings vide Rc.No.168187/Rect.II(1)/2016, dated 19.07.2018 for fixation of seniority of Sub Inspectors of Police (Women) recruited for the year 2001-2002 while the original seniority list dated 22.06.2017 is in force, which is ex facie illegal and arbitrary. Challenging the same, the petitioner has constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

During the pendency of the Writ Petition, the respondents have issued promotion and posting orders in respect of 82 Sub-Inspectors of Police (Women), promoting them as Inspectors of Police vide proceedings dated 02.11.2018. By the said proceedings, the petitioner has also been promoted as Inspector of Police. In view of these changing circumstances, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the present Writ Petition can be closed by reserving the petitioner's right for further promotion in future, if any, if so aggrieved.
4. Considering the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner and taking note of the subsequent development that had taken place during the pendency of the present Writ Petition, this Court is inclined 4/6
to dismiss the Writ Petition as infructuous by reserving the right of the petitioner for further promotion in future if any, if she is aggrieved. 5.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. The petitioner is always at liberty to agitate her claim in respect of her promotion in future, if she is aggrieved. No costs.
