The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.1448 of 2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, R-9 Valasaravakkam Police Station, Valasaravakkam, Chennai and file final report within a stipulated time.

2. The petitioner herein lodged a complaint as against his son viz., Krishnagopal. The said complaint was registered in Crime No.1448 of 2014 for the alleged offences under Sections 448 and 506(i) IPC on 17.09.2014. Though the case has been registered in the year 2014, till date there is no progress in investigation of the said case. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.1448 of 2014 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
