This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to provide adequate police protection on the eve of yearly temple festival scheduled to be held between 17.04.2025, 22.04.2025 and 23.04.2025 at A/m Karuppannaswamy koil, Periyana Halli Village Karimangalam taluk, Dharmapuri district by considering the petitioners' representation dated 26.02.2025.
2. Heard and perused the materials available on record.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it is a small temple and it is a private one. While being so, the respondents 2 to 4 herein are objecting the yearly temple festival conducted by the petitioner.
4. It is seen that there is a dispute in respect of land in which the temple is situated. Therefore, the petitioner ought to have approached the civil Court for appropriate relief. That apart, so far no representation has been sent to the first respondent seeking police protection.
5. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this petition cannot be considered. However, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the civil Court for appropriate relief as against the respondents 2 to 4 herein.
6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 27.03.2025 (1⁄2) Internet: Yes Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non Speaking order mn G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN. J,
