O R D E R

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8 (c) & 20 (b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act in Crime No.165 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. It is the case of the prosecution that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.200 Kgs of Ganja illegally. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.200 Kgs of Ganja illegally. He further submitted that there are 7 previous cases of similar nature pending against the petitioner.

5. Taking note of the fact that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.200 Kgs of Ganja illegally and 7 previous cases of similar nature pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and hence, this petition stands dismissed.
