ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation seeking rectification of patta Nos.3139 and 1139 standing in the name of the 2nd respondent for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent. Since no adverse order is passed against the 2nd respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 2nd respondent is dispensed with by this Court.
3. As seen from the representation, dated 28.03.2025 given to the 1st respondent, the petitioner had sought cancellation of pattas bearing Nos.3139 and 1139. The petitioner only seeks rectification of the extent of the land disclosed in the subject pattas. Therefore, he will have to give a fresh representation seeking rectification of the extent of the land in the subject pattas.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is willing to give a fresh representation for the aforesaid purpose.
5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner is directed to submit a fresh representation seeking rectification of the extent of land in the pattas bearing Nos.3139 and 1139 and a direction is issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the said representation on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections, if any, from the 2nd respondent, the neighbouring land owners as well as any other third party, whom the 1st respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the 1st respondent seeking rectification of the extent of land mentioned in patta Page No.3 of 6
Nos.3139 and 1139 standing in the name of the 2nd respondent for the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said representation within the stipulated time, the 1st respondent shall pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the said representation, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing the objections, if any, from the 2nd respondent, the neighbouring land owners as well as any other third party, whom the 1st respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) thereafter.
